In a quiet Sydney suburb, where rustling leaves and wildlife were the only noises to be heard, one man had a passion for the roar of horsepower and the smell of burning rubber. Meet Ben Vanzyl, whose love affair with cars and motorsport began before he could even string a sentence together.
From toy cars across the living room floor, with "vroom vroom" sounds of revving engines, Ben's fascination with, not only cars, but the mechanics of cars began.
Leaving school behind, Ben began his apprenticeship with Ford and has never looked back. Quickly becoming a Master Technician for Ford, Ben knew basic mechanics was not enough and embarked on his motorsport calling, joining GWR Australia in 2018 as a race mechanic. Garth Walden immediately saw the potential in Ben and he rapidly progressed through the ranks to be GWR's Technical Director.
Ben started Vanz RallySport as a hobby, helping people out with support and guidance in both tarmac and gravel rally, whilst also competing (and winning) events across NSW.
Whether its car prep, event management and support, 3D printing and parts or just good old fashioned advice, Vanz RallySport is here to help and offers a service designed to suit any individual or team requirement.
Vanz RallySport has a purpose built workshop just an hour out of Sydney and is equipped with specialist tools and machinery for vehicle maintenance and prep, electrical and wiring, 3D design and fabrication of parts and accessories as well as configuration and engineering of engine management and data acquisition systems designed for performance, reliability and versatility.
